Because of my back problem and being unable to lift heavy objects I have fitted a cleat to the back of my roof rack so I can run the winch line over the roof and lift up my spare wheel in the event of having to change a punctured wheel, it remains to be tested though! I don't forsee any problems except perhaps wearing a groove in the leading edge of the bonnet. I have also made up a short length of rope with a hook at each end to run over the same cleat and hook underneath the rear bumper to take the weight of a jerry can while re-filling the fuel tank, again, not tested yet.

The rope for taking the weight of jerry cans while re-filling has been tried and tested and works a treat, not had any punctures yet so unable to comment on that, but as the jerry can idea worked well I can't forsee any problems there.
