Hi all, I'm new to 4x4ing, I was wondering if someone could give me information on where I can and cannot go. I live in the Thatham area. I met up with someone who goes green laning and he took me on a couple of routes around the Bucklebury area. We didn't do any thing to serious as it was my first time and I'm not used to putting my jeep in to and out of 4wd. I've since been speaking to other that say Bucklebury byways is now illegal to dive on. Is this true? I've tried looking on line but I've just been bogged down with pointless information.
Also where can I find a map which will highlight the local green laning which are legal to drive on?
Many thanks, Phil

Hi Phil
There is a couple of us that do do green laning, one member on here is paul lock one of our marshalls, why not pop up on 10th Feb at aldermaston and have a chat.
some byways are and some are not illeagal, plum colour sign is restricted and red is open. But to make sure pop into the west berks council to get more updates. Buckleberry is an issue, as people have been driving over the gas mains pipe, and over the years with vehicles as they have not kept to the byways and have made it worse for us all that does it properly. we have been working with the landowner who we know about this, and more measures are about to catch people out and seize there motors by police and wardens. there are cameras out there too, so be warned, this goes to other people and clubs too who may be reading this.
pop up and have a chat to us in feb, its best to be safe than sorry.
